Slave Leia Cosplay

Hi everyone!

I wish you all a happy new year! In the past weeks I thought about what plans I should make for this year and one thing that I realized is that I barely ever wrote any new blog entries or found the time for any updates other than on facebook and instagram. In the past months I got at least a bit better with deviantArt, that I had neglected for a LONG time and now I also want to start breathing new life into this blog! So I *hope* that I can write more about my adventures, photo shoots, my traveling and maybe also one or another cosplay / sewing work in progress stuff. And I want to post more photo series - like this Slave Leia series that is finally complete!

Hi ihr lieben! Ein frohes neues Jahr wünsche ich euch :) In den letzten Wochen habe ich so ein bisschen darüber nachgedacht, was ich dieses Jahr so machen möchte und festgestellt, dass ich im letzten Jahr kaum Zeit für irgendetwas außer Facebook und Instagram hatte und ich meinen Blog total vernachlässigt habe. Auch meine anderen Social Media Kanäle, wobei ich zumindest bei deviantArt langsam wieder ein bisschen besser werde :) Nun möchte ich also auch meinen Blog wiederbeleben und in Zukunft - hoffentlich - mehr von meinen Reisen, Shootings und anderen spannenden Sachen erzählen, mehr Fotoserien hier posten und auch immer mal Work-in-Progress von Cosplaysachen oder anderen Outfits die ich so nähe. Mal sehen was ich davon alles hinbekomme aber heute möchte ich zumindest mal mit der endlich vollständigen Slave Leia Serie anfangen!

 

This project was one of the things that took ages to get finished but I am so glad I did finish it. I made the costume myself and started it round about three years ago. After two failed attempts (wrong choice of materials, I was experimenting a lot) I didn't look at it for almost a year and then finally found the motivation to work on this costume shortly before photographer Lilif Ilane visited me for a photo shoot - and I ended up making a fourth, completely new version.

We alread shot this series 1,5 years ago but sadly Lilif never found the time to edit the whole series  - until now. We both were super excited for the new movie, so she finally edited a third picture from this series! I hope that I can do a new Slave Leia shoot in 2016 - I really love this costume but somehow never got the chance to wear it again after we did the photo shoot.

Dieses Projekt war eins von denen, die Ewigkeiten brauchten um fertig zu werden - aber ich freue mich riesig, dass es nun endlich so weit ist :) Das Kostüm habe ich selbst gebaut und damit habe ich so ca. vor drei Jahren angefangen. Erst einmal war die Suche nach dem passenden Material ziemlich kompliziert und die ersten beiden Versuche sind auch nichts geworden. Danach lag das Outfit dann ein Jahr lang so einigermaßen halbfertig im Schrank rum. Aber als Lilif Ilane dann vor 1,5 Jahren sagte, dass sie mich zum shooten besuchen kommt, musste ich das doch mal endlich auf die Schnelle fertig bzw. alles noch mal komplett neu machen!

Irgendwie hatte Lilif seit dem nie die Zeit, alle Bilder zu bearbeiten - aber da wir jetzt beide super angefixt vom neuen Film waren (gut, ich wahrscheinlich mehr als sie ;) ) hat sie noch mal schnell ein drittes Bild bearbeitet und die Serie ist endlich fertig :) Mal sehen, vielleicht kann ich das Outfit 2016 ja noch mal shooten - ich habe es nämlich seit damals lieder noch nie wieder angehabt obwohl ich es wirklich gerne mag.

So.... and what else should I say about this shoot? Sideboobs and no underwear with flowing fabric... I felt SO naked! xD This is definitely not a costume that I would ever wear in public. Big respect to all the girls who do that!
So... was gibt es sonst noch über dieses Shooting zu sagen? Sideboobs und keine Unterwäsche unter Stoff, der super schnell weg weht - ich hab mich noch nie SO nackt gefühlt xD Das ist definitiv kein Outfit, das ich jemals irgendwo öffentlich tragen würde. Großen Respekt an all die Mädels, die das machen!

And if you are wondering how I made it - I tried a lot of different materials, all that before I ever heard of Worblas Finest Arts. Well, I think I probably heard of it but just didn't buy it back then because I thought it was oh so expensive. But in fact you don't even need that much of it, especially when you only make the "metal" parts of the bra. So if you want to make a bra like this I would suggest to use Worbla! The fabric in the cups is hand painted and the skirt fabric is a very beautiful taffeta that I found on ebay.

Und falls ihr euch fragt wie ich das Outfit gemacht habe - ich habe ganz viel rumprobiert bevor ich jemals von Worblas Finest Arts gehört hatte. Vielleicht hatte ich schon mal davon gehört aber es zumindest nie ausprobiert weil ich immer dachte es wäre weiß Gott wie teuer - würde ich den BH noch einmal bauen, würde ich definitiv das benutzen! Besonders wenn man nur die Metallteile daraus macht braucht man ja gar nicht mal so viel Material.

Mein BH hat handbemalten Stoff unten drunter (der gute alte Allroundstoff von ebay für 2,90 / m ) und der Rockteil ist toller seidenähnlicher Taft, den ich auch auf ebay gefunden habe. Und die Schuhe habe ich bei Kleiderkreisel ergattert ;)
