Hi there!Last weekend some of my friends and me went to Berlin to visit the German Vampire Ball. And since it doesn't happen too often that all of us are in one place at the same time we decided to make this a whole weekend full of fun, photo shoots and awesome people :)
Am Wochenende war ich mit ein paar wundervollen Menschen in Berlin um auf den Vampirball zu gehen. Und wo wir schon mal alle dort waren haben wir einfach gleich ein komplettes Wochenende voller Spass, Fotos und toller Menchen daraus gemacht :)
On friday Morning I started my trip to Berlin together with my Ashtrayheart and Aurelia Isabella. We had booked a hostel that looked a lot better on the internet than it did in real life and after getting over that shock and waiting for a few more hours my dear Irima DeLys finally arrived. We went to a very lovely restaurant where we later met Margot, got very nice vegan sushi and some of us had cocktails with way too much alcohol in them ("Let me know if you don't like them, it was the first time that I mixed these" - "No no, we are fine, thanks")... the result of this was that we suddenly had a ballon shark called Lutz who moved in slow motion ("I swear he was waiting for us to find him and doesn't belong to anyone!!") and that Ashtrayheart and Irima crashed a party next door while the rest of us tried to sleep. Of course we didn't, so the next morning we were more broken than they were, haha!
Freitag morgen ging es zusammen mit Ashtrayheart und Aurelia Isabella nach Berlin. Wir hatten dort ein Hostel gebucht das leider im Internet deutlich schöner aussah als in echt aber nachdem wir diesen Schock verdaut und uns ein paar Stunden entspannt hatten kam Irima DeLys bei uns an und zusammen ging es in ein tolles Restaurant in dem wir uns dann mit Margot trafen, veganes Sushi aßen und Cocktails tranken. "Falls die euch nicht schmecken sagt bescheid, ich hab die zum ersten Mal gemixt und bring euch sonst gerne neue" - Ich will jetzt keine Namen nennen aber zwei Ladies hatten etwas zu viel Alkohol da drin, was dann zur Folge hatte, dass wir plötlich im Besitz eines sich in Slow Motion bewegenden Ballon Hais waren und dass Ashtrayheart und Irima noch eine Party nebenan gecrasht haben, während wir anderen versucht haben schon mal zu schlafen. Natürlich hat das nicht geklappt und wir haben uns am nächsten Morgen verkaterter gefühlt als die beiden xD

On saturday we had planned a photo shoot with amazing outfits by V-Couture. We met up with the beauty Leila Lipstique, did our hair & make-up, drove to the shooting location and stood in front of locked doors. Amazing. "Closed on saturdays." So amazing.
So we drove back and last minute we got an even better location for our photo shoot as we asked in a very beautiful café right next to our hostel. And this location was just perfect so this photo shoot turned out to be even better than expected! <3 Thank you so much for saving our day, Wohnzimmer Bar! (Funny side note: We realized that we had been there before because I have a fancy photo of Aurelia and me from a 20's party hanging right next to my bed - and we were sitting on one of the sofas we now used for our photo shoot :) )

Also sind wir gefrustet zurück zum Hostel gefahren und plötzlich hatten wir eine noch viel bessere Location weil wir spontan in der Wohnzimmer Bar shooten durften, die direkt neben unserem Hostel war. Tausend Dank noch mal, dass Sie uns gerettet haben! Lustiger Weise haben wir auch noch festgestellt, dass wir schon mal dort waren: Neben meinem Bett hängt ein Foto von Aurelia Isabella und mir, das wir auf einer 20er Jahre Party aufgenommen hatten, die dort vor ca. 2 Jahren statt gefunden hatte. Da liegen wir genau auf der gleichen Couch, auf der wir hier auch alle sitzen:

As soon as we were done shooting we had to hurry and drive to the Delphi for the Johanna Macht fashion show rehersals. Irima was our make-up artist, Ashtrayheart was supposed to film everything and for quite some time it looked like both of them would spontaneously join the show as well because two models were missing. Since one of them showed up last minute only my Ashtrayheart modeled and Irima filmed us. We filmed the whole trip, by the way, and I am looking forward to Ashtrayheart finishing the video - I think it will be super funny :)
Nach dem Shooting mussten wir uns etwas beeilen um pünktlich zur Probe für die Modenschau von Johanna Macht zu kommen. Irima war unser Hair & Makeup Artist, Ashtrayheart wollte die ganze Show filmen. Weil zwei Models fehlten sah es schon so aus, als ob beide doch noch bei der Show mitlaufen würden aber eine kam doch noch auf den letzten Drücker und so ist am Ende nur Ashtrayheart mitgelaufen und Irima hat uns alle gefilmt. Übrigens, wir haben den gesamten Trip gefilmt und ich freue mich schon darauf, wenn Ashtrayheart das Video fertig zusammengeschnitten hat - ich glaube es wird ziemlich lustig :)

So, next to the girls who presented the beautiful outfits by Johanna Macht and walked through the crowd, Margot and me were performing on stage next to Aurelia Isabella who was the star of the show: She sang "Nebel und Nacht" from the Dracula musical. It was hard to perform and not just instantly start to cry or just stand there and look at her because it was so beautiful and she is so damn talented. Die meisten der Models, die die tollen Märchenkleider von Johanna Macht präsentierten, liefen vor der Bühne lang und danach auch noch zwischen dem Publikum umher - Margot und ich unterstützten aber Aurelia Isabella auf der Bühne und wuselten blutlüsternd um sie herum während sie "Nebel und Nacht" aus dem Dracula Musical sang. Es war schwer daran zu denken nicht einfach stehen zu bleiben und sie nur mit Gänsehaut anzuschauen weil es einfach so unheimlich schön war. Falls ihr ihre Stimme noch nicht kennt hört *hier* unbedingt mal rein und lasst auch ein Like auf ihrer Facebookseite da!
The show was a lot of fun and after that we all went to shoot together with Lilif Ilane who had a photo booth at the ball. As soon as we were ready we hurried up to watch an amazing, sparkly and very funny Burlesque performance by Lotti Lieblich and a gorgeous belly dance show by Wild Thindra.
And well... once the stress was gone my cold came back and I got super sick. I have had a flu since I came back from america, had to stay in bed for 1,5 weeks and only got up on monday. I thought it was all gone and only the coughing was left, but all in all it was quite a hard weekend and it ended my night a lot sooner than I had hoped. So I could not judge the costume contest, could not hang out with all the other people I wanted to meet and just spend most of the time in the backstage area, drinking one cup of tea after another. I really wanted to go out and dance and be the sparkly medieval vampire fairy princess that I wanted to be but I then decided to just go back to the hostel and sleep.
Die Show war sehr toll und direkt danach sind wir zu Lilif Ilane gehuscht, die auf dem Ball eine tolle Fotoecke hatte. Sobald wir damit fertig waren huschten wir zurück um uns die tolle Burlesque-Show von Lotti Lieblich und die Bauchtanzshow von Wild Thindra anzuschauen. Und naja... wie es immer so ist kommt die Grippe dann zurück sobald der Stress vorbei ist. Nachdem ich aus den USA wieder da war lag ich erstmal 1,5 Wochen lang und war grad erst seit Montag wieder auf den Beinen. Ich dachte ich hatte das hinter mir und nur noch der Husten wäre über, aber alles in allem war es für mich ein ziemlich anstrengendes Wochenende und ich musste die Party deutlich früher verlassen als geplant. So konnte ich auch nicht in der Jury des Kostümwettbewerbs sitzen, nicht all die Leute treffen die ich treffen wollte und habe die meiste Zeit backstage mit viel Tee verbracht... Ich wollte so gerne als mittelalterliche, glitzernde Vampirfee tanzen gehen und hab mich extra noch umgezogen aber hab mich dann doch für Schlafen gehen entschieden =/

Some results of our quick little photo shoot with Lilif Ilane! Thank you my dear!
On sunday morning Ashtrayheart went to a photo shoot while the rest of us went to a very nice turkish café where we had breakfast and lunch and tried all the delicious things they had to offer. And tea, thank god they had tea. Once Ashtrayheart was done shooting we could start our trip home - with a little stop in Herzsprung where she made one of her dreams come true and bought two very cute albino hedgehogs in an animal shelter! So cute :)
Sonntag morgen ist Ashtrayheart viel zu früh aufgestanden um zu nem Shooting zu fahren, der Rest von uns hat in einem sehr gemütlichen türkischen Café (Ecke Stargarder Straße/Duncker Straße) gesessen und sich in mehreren Gängen durch all die Leckereien gefressen. Und zum Glück gab es Tee^^ Als Ashtrayheart ihr Shooting dann fertig hatte ging es gen Heimat mit einem kleinen Zwischenstop in Herzsprung: Aus dem Tierheim Herzsprung hat sie zwei mega süße afrikanische albino-Weißbauchigel mitgenommen die nun bei ihr wohnen :)
So, all in all we had a wonderful weekend, I did not see too much of the ball but we all had a lot of fun there, too and I think the two little spiky cuties are the best thing of the whole trip. Or well, maybe the best thing was hearing Aurelia sing. Or maybe the fact that I could spend the time with the most amazing people. I am not sure yet! Thanks to everyone who made this weekend so wonderful! :)
Also alles in allem war es ein wunderbares Wochenende, und auch wenn ich nicht so viel vom Ball selber mitbekommen habe hatten wir dort alle sehr viel Spass. Ich kann mich noch nicht ganz entscheiden, was das beste am Wochenende war: Die mega süßen kleinen Igel, dass ich Aurelia Isabella endlich mal live habe singen hören, oder einfach die Tatsache, dass ich mit all diesen tollen Menschen das Wochenende verbringen durfte. Danke an alle, die die Zeit in Berlin so wunderbar gemacht haben! :)
